Success Was Never Meant to Become Our Life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We live in a world that celebrates success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We pursue better careers, build stronger organisations, chase ambitious goals and work hard to create opportunities for ourselves and those we love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is nothing wrong with success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Success creates possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It opens doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It gives us freedom, security and the opportunity to contribute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But somewhere along the way, many of us begin serving success instead of allowing success to serve us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We become busier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our relationships receive less attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curiosity gives way to routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Achievement replaces fulfilment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spend years building a successful life, only to realise we have neglected the very life that success was meant to enrich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I<\/strong> believe<\/strong> there<\/strong> is<\/strong> another<\/strong> way<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Success<\/strong> should<\/strong> never<\/strong> be<\/strong> the<\/strong> destination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It<\/strong> should<\/strong> enrich<\/strong> the<\/strong> journey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Conversation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Throughout nearly four decades of executive leadership, organisational transformation and board-level decision-making, I have become increasingly fascinated by a simple question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do we build successful organisations, successful careers and successful lives without losing sight of what success was meant to give us in the first place?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That question has shaped everything I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has inspired the books I write, the organisations I advise, the leaders I work with and the conversations I continue to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t claim to have all the answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If anything, experience has taught me that better questions are often more valuable than confident answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
